REVIEW: THE PLAYER AND THE PIXIE BY PENNY REID AND L. H. COSWAY

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

What’s it about
Sean and Lucy’s brother are in the same rugby team and they can’t stand each other (for something that happened in Hooker and the Hermit). Lucy is a free spirit and writes for a blog. Sean catches her shoplifting and forces her to spend time with him.

POV- dual first person POV

HEA/HFN- yes

Funny parts- A LOT

Sad parts- no but a few frustrating parts (Lucy’s mother)

Love triangle- no

Insta-love- no

Cheating- no

Super insecure character- no

Realistic scale- 1/5

Trigger warning- none

Pick this up if
You want a cute, light romantic comedy. You like a strong sassy heroine. You like an asshole hero (he gets better). You like a hate to love romance with a lot of banter. You would like to read about a guy is not a sex god.

Don’t pick this up if
You’re looking for a sports romance; it barely has any sports. You don’t like morally grey main characters.

Can be read as a stand-alone

Pages- 326

Audiobook- 10h 20m
Narrators- George Allan and KC Sheridan
