What it is about
Cinder is a cyborg and the best mechanic in the Commonwealth (modern day Asia). Kai, the prince of the Commonwealth, goes to Cinder to get his android fixed. He is unaware of the fact that she is a cyborg and he gets infatuated with her and invites her to the ball. Cinder has a lot problems of her own that she has to deal with on her own. 

POV- third person 

Happy ending- no, major cliffhanger

Pick this up if
You want a Sci-Fi-ish Cinderella retelling. You like selfless characters. You like the idea of a plague going around (especially in the era of COVID-19). You want a light and fun YA book. 

Don’t pick this up if
You hate it when everything isn’t revealed in the first book. You don’t like it when the writer doesn’t explain everything about the world in the first book.
