REVIEW: THE BROKEN GIRLS BY SIMONE ST. JAMES

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What it is about
The story is told in two timelines. The one in present is about Fiona whose sister was murdered and left in the property of an abandoned boarding school. And the one in the 1950s is about 4 girls in the boarding school. The abandoned boarding school is now being renovated and Fiona wants to know who is taking on such a big risk to rebuild a boarding school that no one will ever attend because the grounds are haunted.

POV-  Fiona’s first person and third person from the 4 girls

Happy ending- yes

Funny parts- not really

Sad parts– a lot

Realistic scale- 0/5

Trigger warning- murder, concentration camps, rape, suicide

Pick this up if
You like spooky atmospheres and boarding school mysteries. You like strong girl friendships. You like creepy ghosts. You want an older main character, 37. You like a character driven story.

Don’t pick this up if
You’re expecting a lot of insane plot twists. You don’t like it when the main character discovers everything too conveniently. You don’t want something unrealistic.

Pages- 336

Audiobook- 11h 22m
Narrators- Rebecca Lowman
