REVIEW: THE WRONG GAME BY KANDI STEINER

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What’s it about
Gemma bought a season pass for her husband before he died. She plans to take a new guy to each home game and when she and her friend were making the plan in the bar, she meets Zach (he is a bartender). Zach asks Gemma to the game as a practice date.

POV- dual first person

HEA/HFN- yes

Sad parts- yes

Love triangle- no

Insta-love- no

Super insecure character- no

Trigger warning- being cheated on

Realistic scale- 4/5

Pick this up if
You want a hot, charming hero who is in tune with his feelings and not afraid to cry. You like cute banter. You don’t mind characters crying. You like Kandi Steiner’s writing. You want an emotional read with cute, funny bits sprinkled within. You want a feminist hero. You want to read about a heroine who suffers from anxiety whenever she feels like she is losing control.

Don’t pick this up if
You don’t like the dead spouse trope. You don’t like it when a character treat their partner horribly because of their past partner. You don’t like it when a main character keeps making excuses for not being in a relationship.

The cover made it seem like a cute, fluffy, sports romance but it did start on a rather sad note.

    1. That means a lot! Thank you so much! Sports romances are my favourite! But this isn’t necessarily a sports romance although watching sports is a big part of it. Let me know if you like it if you decide to give it a chance!
