REVIEW: DARK LOVER BY J. R. WARD

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What’s it about
One of the Black Dagger Brotherhood is murdered and Wrath goes to find his daughter, Beth.

POV- multiple third person

HEA/HFN- yes

Funny parts- not really

Sad parts- yes

Love triangle- no

Insta-love – not really

Cheating- no

Super insecure character- no

Trigger warning- I read it a while ago and I don’t remember much but I remember it being quite violent. (There was a scene where Wrath stalks Beth)

Pick this up if
You like vampires. You like the ‘mates’ thing. You like your paranormal romances with drama, intrigue and fighting.

Don’t pick this up if
You don’t like possessive, alpha males. You don’t like a huge cast of characters. You don’t like constantly changing POVs.

It took me a while to finish it because the author’s writing wasn’t something I was used to. There are a lot of different POVs and a huge cast of character, that’s why you’re not always sure what’s happening and who is it happening to. However, about 50% through I got used to it and enjoyed it. Also I know this has been already said but the character names are a bit odd- Wrath, Rhage, Mr. X etc.

Pages- 393
Audiobook- 13h 29m
Narrators- Jim Frangione
