REVIEW: TRULY DEVIOUS BY MAUREEN JOHNSON

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What it is about- There were kidnappings and murders committed at a boarding school, Egllingham Academy, but the mysteries were never solved.  Stevie is a true crime enthusiast and she applies at Ellingham Academy to solve the decades old mystery.

POV- Third person from Stevie’s and informations from the past from different point of views

Happy ending– no, major cliffhanger

Funny parts- some

Sad parts- some

Realistic scale- 2/5

Pick this up if- You want a good young adult mystery novel. You want good representation of characters with anxiety and depression. You want YA books with LGBTQA+ representation. You like the boarding school mystery trope. You like the isolated murder/thriller where one of the people in the isolated area is the killer.

Don’t pick this up if- You don’t like it when the mysteries aren’t solved in the first book (it’s a trilogy). You don’t like slow beginnings in books.

Pages- 416

Audiobook- 10h 12m

Narrators- Kate Rudd

The whole series is on Scribd.

I won’t be writing reviews for the rest of the series because that would give away the mystery.
