REVIEW: I BET YOU BY ILSA MADDEN MILLS

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What’s it about- The football team does these bets between the offense and defense. Ryker is a college football player and Penelope works and it a student. Penelope likes a guy who is studious and nice and Ryker bets her that he’ll get the guy to date her.

POV- dual first person

HEA/HFN- yes

Funny parts- yes

Sad parts- some

Love triangle- kind of but not really (she realises very quickly the guy isn’t for her)

Insta-love- no

Cheating- no

Super insecure character- yes

Trigger warning- none

Realistic scale- 3/5

Pick this up if- you want a college football romance. You want a short, fast, entertaining read. The hero was charming and the heroine was smart and sassy.

Don’t pick this up if- you don’t like the ‘bet’ trope. You don’t like the virgin heroine trope.

This is probably not targeted towards an older audience because a few of the characters motivations were shallow and might seem immature to some.
