REVIEW: GETAWAY GIRL BY TESSA BAILEY

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What’s it about- Addison is the pariah in her small town because of something her mother did. Elijah is going to be the next mayor of the town and he getting married to Naomi, Addison’s cousin, but Naomi runs away leaving Elijah at the alter. Addison helps Elijah runaway from the church and they start forming a friendship but the media gets wind of it and start calling her the ‘Getaway Girl’.

POV- dual first person

HEA/HFN- yes

Funny parts- yes

Sad parts- not really

Love triangle- no

Insta-love- no

Cheating- no

Super insecure character- Addison is insecure about not being enough like Naomi

Trigger warning- none

Realistic scale- 4/5

Pick this up if- you want a slow burn, friends to lovers romance. You want a nice guy hero. You want to read about a hero who was rejected but came away with minimal damage.

Don’t pick this up if- you don’t like miscommunications between main characters. You don’t like when drama is created because one of the characters didn’t say ‘I love you’ back.

Pages- 284

Audiobook- 9h 8m

Narrators- Joe Hempel and Lori Prince
